Below are some answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions about the dinners, reservations, or donations, please email daniel@lucasbucci.com

How much does it cost?

Currently there is no upfront cost to reserve a ticket, nor is there an enforced minimum donation. But, with that said, comparable fixed-menu dining experiences in Portland run anywhere from $75-$150 per ticket.1 If you reserve a ticket, we hope you are prepared to make a donation somewhere close to that range. We also hope that if you are able to make a larger donation, to please do so!

What is the fundraiser goal?

Our goal is to raise $3000 over the course of 6-10 dinners in 2019. If guests make donations in the range mentioned above, we will be on track to hit our goal!

Where does the money go?

We estimate that 30-50% of the gross revenue will be retained for the Farmers Market Fund, while the rest of the revenue will go towards the expenses for the food, wine, and event space. We are trying our best to balance our desire to provide you with an enjoyable dining experience and delicious food, while also being careful with our expenses to ensure we raise as much money as humanly possible. All the labor involved for these events is being provided for free, and we do not expect to make a profit from these dinners. If we do, it will only be used to re-invest in this dinner series so that we can continue it into 2020.

How do I donate?

After your meal, we will collect donations on behalf of the Farmers Market fund using cash, check, or credit card.

Are there vegan or gluten-free meals available?

Yes, to both! Many of the pastas and entrees are already vegan friendly and the menu is labeled accordingly. Gluten-free option can be accomodated upon request, and you will be served an alternate first course, rather than the pasta. Anyone with dairy-free specific restrictions should select from the vegan options, but there may be some exceptions to that rule, depending on the exact menu. Further specialized requests will be considered upon advanced notice and we will do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.

How do I select my entrée?

The menu is subject to change based on seasonal availability—we will be in touch 7 days before the event date with a finalized menu and an opportunity select your entrée of choice.

What happens after I submit my reservation?

We will be in touch with you via email to confirm your reservation.

When should I show up?

All dinners start promptly at 7:30pm. If you show up late you may miss the first course

What happens if I have to cancel?

You can cancel your reservation up to 7 days prior to your reservation date. This provides us with the time to reach out to those on the waitlist and fill your seat. If you cancel within 7 days of your reservation, we ask that you please provide a donation of $100 / ticket to the Farmers Market Fund.

Is this event kid friendly?

This is probably not the ideal dining experience for small children, and each human requires their own ticket (and subsequent donation). We don’t offer a specific kid-friendly meal at this time.
